Founded in 2013 by George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman, the Casamigos brand began as nothing more than a way for the neighbors to enjoy high-quality tequila. After discovering their mutual love for tequila and that their vacation homes in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico were in close proximity with one another, they commissioned a distillery in Jalisco, Mexico to create a tequila that "tasted great and didn’t burn going down". The result was a new ultra-premium brand that was eventually sold to British spirits giant Diageo to the tune of $1 billion.

Serving as their take on the quintessential silver tequila, the Casamigos Blanco Tequila is produced by NOM 1416 Spirits Distillers from high-quality blue Weber agaves grown from the highlands of Jalisco. After manually harvesting the agave hearts, they are baked in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours and then crushed using a tahona stone to extract their juices which are fermented for 80 hours using the distillery’s special yeast blend before being distilled. The resulting tequila is then rested in stainless steel vats for 2 months to mellow its flavors before being brought to proof with pure water and bottled.
